Funko Pop 'Animation' vinyl figure for MONKEY. D. LUFFY, from the 'One Piece' series. The figure is #98, was originally released in 2016, and has since been vaulted/retired. Contains the date of JJL 160504 on the bottom of the box.
This would appear to be the first version of the figure that was released in 2016, which has glossy hair, dark blue pants, and a darker 'tan' skin tone. The last photo in the listing here is a stock photo that was taken from an online Pop price guide, which compares the original 2016 version to the later reissue. Also, the sticker on the bottom of the package is shown in the 5th photo of the auction. The sticker shows the factory where the figure was manufactured, and the date that it was manufactured. The sticker begins with '16', indicating that it was manufactured in 2016.
The figure is new, never removed from the box, and the box shows some light general shipping and shelf wear, and light scuffing of the plastic. There is light scratching of the plastic, light vertical scuffs on all sides of the package (caused during production or packing, some of which go through the characters face on the front cardboard panel), a crunch in the lower left corner of the top panel which also affects the left and front panels, indentations on the top panel and bottom panel that were caused during production or packing, indentations on the right-hand and back panels of the box, light horizontal lines on the left-hand panel that were caused during production or packing, light scratches on all of the panels, and other light wear. The photos show the actual item that the winner will receive (except for the last photo, which is a stock photo that compares different versions of the figure, as mentioned above).
